1. Don’t take your goals into account

Sure, the instructor is motivating, and the workout is a challenge, but you are not seeing the results you are looking for. That is because it is the wrong workout for your goals. Everyone does not have the same goals and the workouts needed to reach the goal you are looking for is not the ones you have been doing. Depending on your goals there may not be a pre-recorded video for you. 

2. No accountability

You mean to work out, but work gets crazy, the kids or family needs creep in, etc. Then your exhausted! Are you really going to do the workout? Let’s face it you can let the video play on your phone or computer, but you are napping or playing referee. Or you are counting on your fancy fitness tracker to remind you that you failed again at getting enough steps or workout time this week. Having a coach who is motivating, encouraging, and keeps you accountable is missing from these pre-recorded videos.

3. You are in more pain than before you started

These on-size-fits-all workouts can actually cause more harm than good, especially if you have any back and knee issues! They are tailored for people who are young and/or never had an injury. Just like not taking your goals into account, the videos don’t take your needs into account.
